Description: Lancer Systems Sig 516 Carbon Fiber Handguard, Carbine Length w/ Top Rail. This hand guard was designed as a lightweight replacement for the OEM handguard on the Sig Sauer SIG516. Made of carbon fiber and aluminum components, this handguard weighs just 8.48 oz. The octagonal tube is made of a carbon fiber layup and resin combination that resists heat, and the M-LOK compatible cooling slots help manage barrrel temperature. The cooling slots are also M-LOK compatible, which allows for the attachment of a wide variety of accessories and rails. This free float handguard also features an aluminum picatinny rail at the 12 o'clock position.

Lancer carbon fiber handguard for Sig 516

The Lancer carbon fiber handguard is a very nicely made product. Installation is easy. To me it is a huge improvement over the Sig quad rail. MGW had the best price I could find for this part, shipping was fast. I am very happy and would recommend the store and part to all Sig 516 owners.

I have been wanting to change the hand guard for a long time on my sig 516
patrol, and this was a good choice.

So initially I picked this up thinking I would lose a lot weight off the 516, but honestly it isn't that big of a difference so don't buy this for that reason only. What I did gain is a lot more comfortably, it is a huge difference between holding the two different handguard's. The Lancer fits better in the palm and lets face it carbon fiber is cooling looking too. Might pick up the matching stock too.
