Description: Springfield M1A Castle Nut. Designed to fit Springfield M1 series 7.62x51mm, .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor caliber rifles, this OEM castle nut fits into the flash suppressor, allowing it to thread to the barrel and mount securely. Made from matte blued steel, this castle nut is made to Springfield Armory's highest standards of material and workmanship, and is a genuine factory original part.

Nuthin fancy here. Its a custom castle nut delivered as described online. I am pleased.

Perfect replacement for the original castle nut, finish matches the new threaded adapter replacing the factory muzzle device, no complaints. Threaded clean and no problems getting everything installed using the castle but pliers also sold here on MGW.
