Description: Springfield M1A Standard Front Sight. Constructed from steel with a matte blued finish, this front iron sight attaches to the flash suppressor via dovetail and is retained with the front sight set screw. The sight will fit M1A series rifles chambered in .308 Win, 7.62x51mm and 6.5 Creedmoor and is a a direct factory original replacement for the front sight that comes standard with the M1A. This site is approximately .565" tall and has a wider sight post than the National Match sights.
