Description: Oryx Rifle Chassis, Howa Long Action, Black / OD Green. This versatile rifle chassis is compatible with Howa long action rifles chambered in popular calibers such as .270 Win, .30-06 Springfield, .338 Win Mag and more, and is an alternative to the factory stock. The chassis features OD (olive drab) green polymer side panels and is constructed from black, hard anodized 6061 aluminum. This one-piece integrated chassis and buttstock has a drop-in design for easy installation, no gunsmithing required. Includes a comfortable cheek riser and pistol grip. Improve the accuracy and ergonomics of your shooting experience with the Oryx rifle chassis system.

After some trepidation due to the PRS crowd panning this chassis (maybe because it just isn't expensive enough for them to use?), I went ahead and ordered it. The fit is exact and perfect enough that you can still remove the bolt from the weapon, regardless of cheek riser position. Pros: Its built very strong with no flex at the Mlock bipod mount. Exact fit- even with my Shilen "Howage" barrel with nut. Magazines release easily and drop free. With some fiddling, ANY AR grip works- be prepared to have to carve or dremel a "Sniper" type grip for fitment if you have XL hands. You can add Length of pull. Has a QD cup in buttstock. Great value at retail price. Cons: I wish the cheek riser retention had knobs instead of allen screws. I wish there was a rail section on the bottom of the buttstock for a monopod/ foot.
