Description: MGW Exclusive Custom AR-15 5.56 16" Upper Receiver Assembly, AAC Squaredrop. Built at Midwest Gun Works, this upper receiver assembly uses some of the most popular components on the market. We started with a Cerro Forge keyhole forged upper, then added a 16" Ballistic Advantage government contour barrel and a 13.5" AAC Squaredrop free float handguard. Then we finished the assembly by using small components like the flash hider, gas block, forward assist, etc. from popular manufacturers like Aero Precision, DPMS and Bushmaster.
- Please Note: This upper receiver assembly DOES NOT include the BCG (Bolt Carrier Group) or charging handle.

I am not an AR-15 guru. I bought the MGW Upper in 5.56 because of ammo availability and switched out my 300 blk upper. I consistently grouped shots within 1" diamond using MagPul backup sights at 25 yards at an indoor range. I shot 20 rounds with no failures at all. Time will tell with a lot more rounds, but I am confident its a good outfit.
Overall, the fit and finish are great. There is some paint ware on the handguard from laying on the bench, but that does not concern me. The machining is very nice. No rough edges. Everything is symmetrical. feels well balanced. I won't even change out the flash hider. The price seems exceptional for the product.
