Description: MGW Armory Sight-Pro & Range Master Tool Shoe Plate, 1911. This shoe plate from MGW Armory is made from steel and can be used in either the Sight-Pro or Range Master sight installation tools to retain the slide of the pistol. This shoe is designed to hold the slide of 1911 pistol models from Colt, Sig Sauer and Springfield as well as the Bersa Thunder and Para-Ordnance Carry 12. Installed in the lower half of either sight tool, this shoe properly secures the slide to allow the front or rear sight to be quickly and efficiently removed or installed. Stay on target with the sight that suits you best; use MGW Armory's family of sight tools to keep you in the game at a moment's notice.

Overall actual experience with this shoe plate, others on my to-do list. I find the tool worked well om the first 1911 I adjusted. Overall, it did the job and it appears suited for the others that I purchased. Is a bit expensive, a bit complicated, cumbersome and tedious. Professional grade for sure but overall more than I needed. Certainly, recommend to those that do many sight installs and adjustments. MGW is a solid and quality .

Every replacement sight(s) come with the admonishment to be sure to use an armorer to replace the sights. This system makes it easy for a lay-person to change any sight. The shoe is specific to the firearm, but the system is universal and easy to understand and use (if somewhat expensive). Probably worth the money to do the job correctly and protect the firearm.
