Suggest watching you tube video on install. Devote 30min to install. Once in place it works great. You can change out the release height without having to remove completely. I don't have to break my grip to drop a mag.

Simple and Easy install.
unload your Canik and DOUBLE CHECK!
Remove the slide.
using needle nose pliers S-L-O-W-L-Y ease the pin upwards that holds the mag release in place. (did i mention do it slowly? it takes 10 times longer to put the pin back in than to do the swap)
slide the old mag release out and the extended release in place
reinsert the pin and install slide.
its that simple...
