Description: Springfield Armory 1911 Mainspring, 19 lb. This Springfield Armory 19 lb. mainspring is manufactured for the 1911 pistols chambered in .45 ACP, .38 Super, 9mm, 10mm and .40 S&W. This steel constructed mainspring is located in the mainspring housing in conjunction with the mainspring cap and housing pin retainer. The main spring functions by holding stored energy and tension against the hammer that is released when the trigger is pulled. This piece is perfect as a spare on the workbench or as an immediate replacement to a lost or damaged component.
