Description: Springfield Armory 1911 Recoil Spring, 18.5 lb. This Springfield Armory 18.5 lb. recoil spring is manufactured for the 1911 pistols chambered in .45 ACP, .38 Super, 9mm, 10mm and .40 S&W. This steel constructed recoil spring is installed over the recoil spring guide and into the recoil spring plug. This part functions by mitigating the felt recoil and assist in cycling of the firearm. This recoil spring is perfect as a spare part on the workbench or as an immediate replacement for a lost or damaged component.
