Description: Springfield Armory 1911 9mm Extractor, Hard Chrome. Manufactured from quality steel, this OEM factory original extractor is produced for the Springfield Armory 1911 9mm pistols and features a hard chrome finish. The extractor functions by extracting spent rounds from the chamber when the slide is pulled back. This piece is perfect as a spare on the workbench or as an immediate replacement for a lost or damaged part.

Waste of money

The extractor was totally useless. When installed, the 1911 pistol failed to eject at every shot. When I took it to my gunsmith, he could not "tune" this new extractor to do any better. Instead, he "tuned" the older extractor which I was trying to replace, and it is functioning again.
