Adds weight, but reduced reliability

I installed this as part of an effort to add weight to my Glock 44, in an attempt to make it feel more like a Glock 19 when presenting the gun on to target. The benefit is that it adds 1.2 oz to the front of the gun compared to the OEM RSA. The downside is that it decreased reliability with all the ammo I've tried so far. It seems to work best with CCI Mini Mags, but standard 36 or 40 grain bulk ammo fails to reset about 50% of the time. Same ammo runs >95% with the OEM RSA. The part seems well made, unfortunately they didn't directly copy the OEM dual-spring arrangement. Your results may vary, but it just didn't work well in my gun.

I got this recoil guide rod because it was lighter than the factory G44 guide rod. Before I was having reliability issues and also not performing a slide lock on the cheap stuff, after using this product the slide would lock on the cheap stuff and I was able to go through the state steel challenge match without any issues from my G44.
