Description: Trail-Lite 5.5" Buckmark Barrel, Threaded End, Fluted / Gun Metal Gray. Milled from 6061-T6 aluminum and showcasing a gun metal gray coated finish, this Trail-Lite Tactical Solutions fluted barrel is for the Browning Buck Mark .22 LR pistol. This upgrade piece is easy to install, dramatically increases accuracy, performance, and reliability. The threaded barrel has a 1 in 16" twist, is threaded at 1/2 x 28" for an additional silencer or compensator and is designed to shoot while looking great. This hand-chambered custom barrel piece has a length of 5.5" and is drilled and tapped for the addition of an optic rail.

I bought this barrel on a lark, as I wanted to trick out one of my Buckmarks. The barrel is very well made, extremely light, and definitely has the cool factor. However, aside from that I can't say it's more accurate than the stock barrel or if it's really worth spending the money on. Anyway, if I decide to go back to the stock barrel I can always sell this one and get most of my money back.

It replaced the factory barrel with the fluted aluminum shroud without a hitch. Groups with Federal HV Match shrunk by a third, and CCI Mini-Mags will group 10 within an inch now. With the factory barrel, the Mini-Mags were pressed to put 5 within two inches. The fluting looks a lot cooler, and the threads are there if I'm ever tempted to get a suppressor. There is a minor step at the top of the ramp right at the chamber mouth cut into the barrel liner. It probably should have been chamfered a bit so the bullet noses don't lodge into it. I've had a couple of hang-ups with the 100 rounds I've put downrange so far. They might go away with more breaking in or with other brands of ammo.
