Description: Winchester SXP 20ga. Magazine Throat. This OEM factory original magazine throat is manufactured for the Winchester SXP pump 20 gauge shotguns. Produced from durable black polymer, the magazine throat is installed between the magazine tube and receiver, assisting in loading the shells from the mag tube. This piece is perfect as a spare on the workbench or as an immediate replacement for a lost or damaged component.

Pleased that it is Available, but Disappointed that it Needs to be Available

This plastic part is a serious weakness in the otherwise well-designed Winchester SXP pump shotgun. The entire front end of the trigger unit is supported by two small plastic tabs on this plastic throat. Plastic gets to be brittle over time, or in cold weather, and the tabs break off and/or the entire component cracks up, rendering your shotgun useless. Winchester, or someone else, needs to make a strong metal version of this so that we can all go afield with confidence. This 20g unit is weaker than the 12g one - tabs are much smaller.
