I have an older (30 yrs old +/-) Beretta Tomcat on which the frame is still in good condition. After reading everything I could on the frame breaking problem, I decided that it wouldn't hurt to purchase one of the newer "heavy" slides. Only problem was I couldn't find any information on whether the newer slides would fit my old Tomcat. Well, it Works Great and it looks Great! It adds a few ounces of weight to the gun, which noticeably reduces recoil, and hopefully will make the gun last longer. Just be aware that the slide comes with the rear sight installed.

I have a Tomcat that I've owned since new. I haven't fired it much, but i found that there is a ejection problem with this gun's slide. The slide I bought for the gun is the fix for the problem. it's called the "wide slide" Now I feel more confident the gun will not jam and i can count on it if necessary.
