Description: SureFire Closed-Tine Flash Hider/Suppressor Adapter for 5.56 SOCOM. This SureFire suppressor adapter, which fits rifles with 1/2-28 muzzle threads, greatly reduces muzzle rise and features neutral porting to manage recoil. It mimics the look of a traditional birdcage flash hider while providing a rock-solid mounting option for SOCOM Series Fast-Attach suppressors. Wrench flats machined into the sides of the adapter allow for easier installation. The flash hider also serves as a mounting adapter for .223 Rem/5.56x45mm SureFire SOCOM Series Fast-Attach suppressors. Its closed tines reduce the chance you'll snag your barrel in environments with dense vegetation or on other items that might snag an open-tine flash hider.
