The Rod is profiled to use a full-size 1911 recoil spring so you can easily tune your gun with commonly available springs, to the recoil impulse of your ammunition. Like all Wilson Combat equipment this guide rod is top notch. Grant it I’ve only been able to fire about a hundred rounds through the firearm equipped with this guide rod there has been no issues with recoil or muzzle flip, despite all the comments from the naysayers who have the money to spend on tungsten parts. Only drawback is finding the corresponding recoil spring for this guide rod.
