Description: Tandemkross Bolt Keeper Extended Bolt Lock for Ruger PC Carbine, Black. Manufactured from black coated steel, this Tandemkross bolt keeper extended bolt lock is for the Ruger PC Carbine rifles chambered in 9mm and .40 S&W. This bolt keeper is designed to improve the bolt lock back function by offering an extended and widened profile. These pieces also reduce jam clearing time by holding the bolt open after the mag has been removes and easier and more comfortable gun clearing and flagging for competition use.

My Ruger PC Carbine works fine until it doesn't. I had functioning problems with and without the Extended Bolt Lock. I don't think it's and essential component for proper functioning. My Ruger original is back on the Carbine.
