Description: Smith & Wesson M&P Extractor. This extractor is made of a strong steel, carries a gloss blued finish, and is an OEM factory original part from Smith & Wesson. This extractor is designed for both full sized and compact versions of the M&P 9, 40, & 45 models of pistols from Smith & Wesson chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, & .45 ACP respectively. The extractor, inside the bolt assembly, retains the chambered round while it is chambered in the pistol. This extractor is perfect for use in an emergency replacement stash and can be great to have in the spare parts chest. This item is proudly made in the USA by Smith & Wesson.

I replaced a damaged factory extractor in my M&P 1.0 Pro after 5 years and replaced it with an Apex Failure Resistant extractor. The Apex failed after 6 years. As the Apex costs about 9 times as much, I switched back to the factory extractor and plan to inspect it often and replace it on a regular basis
