This 9mm bolt carrier group from New Frontier Armory is constructed from high grade 8620 steel with a magnesium phosphate black finish. This BCG is designed for the AR-9 platform of firearms and operates with the 9mm caliber. The bolt carrier group is precision milled for use with AR-9 lowers that use Glock, MP5, & Colt styled magazines. I bought a complete AR-9 upper from a "discount dealer" online, thinking that they would have tested all of their components together before advertising it as a complete group. Boy, was I wrong. I had nothing but ejection and extraction issues from the first shot. After quite a bit of testing and fiddling, I figured out what the issues were. I made a new ejector (good thing I have metal working skills), and bought this new BCG. All of my problems are completely fixed, and this item was a big part of that. Quality is very good. I am convinced that this is the same BCG that PSA sells with their name on it. Only issue is that there are machining marks on the surfaces which ride on the inside of the receiver, which makes an odd rubbing noise when cycling by hand. Not a big deal.
