Description: Smith & Wesson J-Frame Mainspring. Constructed from quality steel, this OEM factory original mainspring is manufactured for the J Frame revolvers chambered in .38 Special and .357 Mag. Inserted over the mainspring stirrup, this piece functions by using released tension to push the hammer forward in conjunction with the trigger being pulled. This quality part is perfect as a spare on the workbench or as an immediate replacement for a lost or damaged component.
